The last few months I’ve learned a lot. I’ve learned about myself, my dreams and most of all- how to start a new dance school!
RHYTHM dance studio was made during corona, and is a project I started with my boyfriend Aliochy and his brother Miguel. Starting a dance school in itself is quite demanding, and especially during a pandemic where many people choose to stay home or can’t come for other reasons.
Therefore, we’ve had to push even harder, working all hours during the day and night. I feel like I’ve grown a lot from this, and experienced so much in quite a short time.
Even though it can be really hard at times, and you get a bit overwhelmed by all the work and organising you have to do, it’s definitely been worth it! We opened our doors in the end of august, and already we’ve had more than 100 people coming to our classes. It’s been a huge success, and I’m so grateful that all the hard work we’ve put in is paying off.

I made our webpage and had to learn a lot about that, we bought a camera that we filmed with a lot and I edited many videos of us and our students. We also bought a heat press and I had to learn how to print our logo on our t-shirts properly, and I also started mixing music. I’m designing and creating our flyers, posters and time schedules and so on.
All of this and much more has been happening during the last few months, which means I haven’t had time to do other things such as writing here.
Now we just finished our “open week” for our second 8-weeks courses, so things are starting to calm down a little bit. Therefore, I promised myself to get better and prioritize writing and sharing with you all!
Here is a link to our videos from our danceschool if you wanna check it out:
Many people are asking me what I’m doing these days, and of course RHYTHM is a huge part of it! A part from that, I’m teaching quite a lot because corona cancelled most of the jobs I was supposed to do for my company Show de Vida. Therefore I’m teaching 3 other places in addition to RHYTHM, which is Studio 1, Art and Victory Dance. I teach every night except Saturdays, so it feels like quite a lot right now to be honest.
Even though I like teaching and I’m really happy to still be working with dance, I really miss being on stage and performing which is actually what I work with and wanna be doing.
I still learn a lot from teaching though, especially because I have so many different students from completely different environments.
So, this was a short update from me, and I promise they will come more often from now on ❤
Have a great week everyone!
