I’ve had so much to do lately, which is why I haven’t been posting anything. June has really been a breath of fresh air when it comes to work, and it’s been great feeling that things are slowly getting back to normal.
I’ve done some teaching through zoom, organized my first dance festival outside, and I did two shows with my company Show de Vida. On Saturday I’m doing another one, where I will be singing as well!
In other words, the last couple of weeks have been pretty busy but also very good!

Our Hawaii costume ❤
It’s been so weird not being able to work for the last three months, and I would’ve never imagined for me to get this boost of projects at this time! I did some teaching through zoom, which I’ve never tried before. First up was an Irish school that I used to train at when I was competing. It was nice seeing them again, and even though I could only see them in a little square on my computer, I liked it!
I also did a class for The Norwegian Dance Federation, which was also very nice 🙂
Then my boss from Show de Vida got a request out of the usual. They wanted 10 dancers to be the audience at the Impossible games at Bislett stadium. We were gonna wear two life size dolls each, so it looked like we were three persons instead of one. I’m gonna write a post about this later, cause we stumbled upon quite a few challenges on the way hahaha…
We also did a show outside where my boss lives, which was a lot of fun! It was the best feeling to put on my fishnets and stage makeup again, and luckily the costumes still fits 😉

Something that’s been completely new to me during this period, is organizing my own events. During this time we started a new dance school called RHYTHM, that’s focusing on latin dance styles for now. It’s become really popular, and we’ve been having dance classes outside since April.
Because it’s been going so well, we wanted to try something bigger, and ended up with the idea of a dance festival. We planned it for a long time, I made a webpage, we printed t-shirts and jackets, what instructors, where, what classes, schedule, signing up and so on.
It was really fun and exciting, but also a bit scary because we had no idea of how it was gonna turn out…
Luckily, it ended up being a major success, and we had close to 100 people attending during the weekend! The weather was amazing, the atmosphere was great and the dancing topped it all off. I also had classes in ladystyling for the first time, which was really fun!
I’m so happy everything went as planned, and hopefully we get to do it again this summer.
It felt a bit weird being on that side of it all, but I wanted to try and I liked it a lot!

As you probably understand, my days are filled with lots of different projects at the moment, which I’m used to and absolutely love. I’m just trying to enjoy it while it lasts, cause I’m pretty sure my summer holiday is gonna be a long one this year!
Now I’m preparing for my next show on Saturday, with Swing it dixie band. I will be singing and dancing, and I’m really excited 🙂
Hope everyone is enjoying the summer heat and taking care of each other ❤
