my last Moulin-night

Today it’s exactly one year since my last show at The Moulin Rouge in Paris! It’s crazy to think how fast time goes, cause it really doesn’t feel like a year ago. Working there was really amazing, and I’m starting to miss it more and more, especially at this time. It was kinda like being in a movie, with interviews, performances, backstage and just the whole atmosphere. It really is an experience I will never ever forget!

My last day felt really weird. It was my 409th show in just a year, and I was sad, happy, excited and nervous for what was next. Even though I made the decision to leave myself, it was scary not knowing what my everyday life was gonna be like. Luckily, it’s been very good and I’m happy with the choice I made! But of course, looking back I really do miss it.
We did two shows on my last day, and my mum and some of the girls that were off that day came to watch. There were also two other girls who had their last day, and the rest of the company made it special for us.
Before the last show it didn’t feel real, and the whole company gathered on stage to cheer for us. My eyes are tearing up just thinking about it, cause even though it was only a year- it was pretty much my whole life for that year. You live in this little Moulin-world and it feels weird to suddenly move out of it again!

Before our finale number, the girls in my lodge threw glitter on me and gave me kisses for my last stage entre. I ended up with a few tears rolling down my face in the applause, and I promise that I will never forget that feeling!

What a year, and what an experience! I promise to share more of it with you guys later ❤
